Cookie Policy
Last updated: {{EFFECTIVE_DATE}}
This Cookie Policy explains how the Estate Ops website and web portal (https://www.estate-ops.co.uk), and the public pages we host for individual estates, use cookies and similar technologies. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party marketing trackers, and we do not sell data. Nothing optional runs until you choose to allow it.
Strictly necessary (always on)
These are required to provide the service and cannot be switched off. Without them the service will not work.
| Technology | Set by | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| Authentication cookies | Supabase (our auth provider) | Keep you securely signed in and protect your session. Set only on the site you sign in to — never shared across estates' pages. | Session / refresh |
eo_consent cookie | Estate Ops | Remember the cookie choices you made in the banner, so we do not ask again. Set only after you choose. | 180 days |
| Local storage: theme | Estate Ops | Remember your light/dark preference on your device. | Until cleared |
| Local storage: alert state | Estate Ops | Remember which safety alerts you have dismissed so they are not repeatedly shown. | Until cleared |
Local-storage values stay on your device and are not used to track you across other sites.
Diagnostics (error monitoring — always on)
We use Sentry to detect and diagnose errors so we can keep the portal reliable and secure. When an error occurs, Sentry records technical details about the error, which may include your IP address. We do not record your screen, and we do not use this data to track you or for marketing.
Our basis. We run error monitoring on the basis of our legitimate interest in
keeping the service secure and working. It does not record screen content and is
limited to what we need to fix faults. You can object to this processing, or ask
about it, using the contact details below.
Analytics (optional — off until you accept)
On our public website and on estates' public pages we would like to measure which pages are visited and how people move through the site, so we can improve it. We use Vercel Web Analytics for this. It sets no cookies and does not build a profile of you: it counts page views against a short-lived, non-reversible hash that resets daily, and we strip query strings before anything is sent. Analytics loads only after you choose Accept all or switch it on in *Cookie settings*. Signed-in areas of the portal are not measured.
Third-party embeds (optional — off until you accept)
Some pages can show content from another provider — currently the booking scheduler on our "book a call" page. That provider sets its own cookies and has its own privacy policy. We do not load it until you either accept embeds in the banner or press Load scheduler on the page itself, and you can always use our plain contact form instead.
Your choices
- The cookie banner appears on your first visit to our website or to an estate's
public page. *Accept all* allows analytics and embeds; *Reject non-essential* allows neither; *Manage* lets you choose each one.
- Cookie settings, linked in the footer of every page, reopens the choice at any time.
Changes take effect immediately.
- Each estate's public site is a separate website, so your choice is remembered per site.
- You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and clear local
storage for this site at any time. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in. For more on cookies generally, see https://ico.org.uk/for-the-public/online/cookies/.
The mobile app
The Estate Ops mobile app does not use website cookies. It stores your session securely on your device and uses a diagnostics tool (Sentry) and push-notification service (Firebase Cloud Messaging) as described in our Privacy Policy.
Changes
We will update this page if our use of cookies changes, and revise the date above.
